Google has banned 5 proxies for Google’s popular Google Chrome browser
Google has rolled out a new anti-phishing tool to Chrome users that is designed to help combat the growing number of phishing attacks on the popular browser.
The company says it has found the 5 most common phishing emails that are sent to Gmail accounts are often the same as those sent to the Gmail account of the phisher.
Google says users should immediately stop sending them.
Users can use Chrome’s “Advanced settings” to turn off these anti-spyware tools.
Users who are not yet on the “Advanced” tab can disable it by going to Settings > Security and privacy > Privacy and clicking “uncheck”.
It is worth noting that it’s not a full ban on the anti-pying tools.
Google said the new features are available to Chrome “for a limited time” and that they were designed to be used by the “most paranoid” users.
It’s also worth noting Chrome users are not required to change their default browser settings.
However, if you do change them, you’ll need to be a bit more diligent about what you’re doing.
Google says users can stop sending anti-PKI email to their Gmail accounts by turning off the anti -phishing tools, which it says can be found under Advanced Settings.
Google also says that users should consider using a third-party proxy, such as Google’s Owned Proxy, which will also block these phishing attempts.
